I have been investigating copyright and find that the site listed below may be great for your peace of mind, but you don't have to do anything regarding safeguarding your copyright. You do have the copyright of anything you write, providing it is your own work . You can write a (copied possibly from the character map) on the page or even post yourself a copy of the item, with the copyright included, post by recorded delivery. Do not open the package until copyright is needed to be proven.
