Neil Munro (1863-1930)(Hugh Foulis) Born Inveraray, Argyll on 3 June 1863, Educated and lived in Inveraray until June 1881. Much of his fiction is centred in and around Loch Fyne - an area he remained deeply attached to throughout his life. Buried: Kilmalieu Cemetery, Inveraray, Argyll, Monument: Overlooking A819 road in Glen Aray 5 miles north of Inveraray, Argyll, facing the vanished home of his ancestors. It bears the Gaelic inscription "Sar Litreachas" - matchless writing.
